  • Imagination

Original by David Hubbard about time as a teen at Rehobeth.

    Imagination

Original by David Hubbard. Performed at El Golfo Restaurant, 2023

Lyrics: Imagination DH 2020 ()=second voice

I remember summer days. Chasing a breeze down to the ocean.

Wading thru seagrass, seashells and waves. (Blows my mind!)

Or is it just my imagination.

Twilight baths a broken tower, grotesque against the sky.

Glowing scarlet in this dusky hour. (Is it real)

or is it just my imagination?

Astride the crumbling tower. I spread my arms in flight.

Watching the sun devoured. (In a dream?)

    This is not my imagination.

I can hear a clock. tick-tock-tick-tock. It's counting up the hours

The satin sea keeps calling me. This will be my destination.

The sea is softly calling me. To take a leap of faith

Dive into the ocean. (Back to the sea?)

    In a flight of imagination.

    Ain't No Cure for Love

Written by Leonard Cohen. Performed at El Golfo.
